Rubio Commemorates Victims of the ’13th of March’ Tugboat Massacre

Miami, FL — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement commemorating the victims of the “13th of March” Tugboat Massacre by the Castro dictatorship:
 
“Twenty-six years ago the world witnessed the barbaric sinking of the ’13th of March’ Tugboat, which took 41 lives, including 10 children, at the hands of the Castro brothers. Today, I join the Cuban-American exile community as we commemorate those who senselessly perished in search of freedom and a future free of tyranny.”
 
Rubio is the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women’s Issues.
 
RUBIO CONMEMORA A LAS VÍCTIMAS DE LA MASACRE DEL REMOLCADOR ‘13 DE MARZO’
 
Miami, FL- El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió el siguiente comunicado conmemorando a las víctimas de la masacre del remolcador ‘13 de marzo’ a manos de la dictadura de los Castro:
 
“Hace veintiséis años, el mundo fue testigo del barbárico hundimiento del remolcador ’13 de marzo’, el cual cobró 41 vidas, incluyendo la de 10 menores de edad, a manos del régimen de los hermanos Castro. Hoy, me uno a la comunidad cubano-americana en el exilio mientras conmemoramos a aquellos que perecieron en busca de la libertad y de un futuro libre de tiranía”.
 
Rubio es el Presidente del Subcomité de Relaciones Exteriores para el Hemisferio Occidental, Delincuencia Transnacional, Seguridad Civil, Democracia, Derechos Humanos y Asuntos Globales de la Mujer.
