Rubio Introduces Bill to Expose Corrupt Nature of Communist China

Jun 12, 2024 | Press Releases

The Chinese Communist Party is steadfast in its undermining of the U.S. and its interests on a global scale.

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) introduced the Confronting CCP Malign Influence Act of 2024 to expose the corrupt nature of the regime to the world.

  • “Our nation’s greatest adversary is Communist China and the American people must realize the complex reality a new world order, led by Beijing, would pose. Whether it be through economic, social, or military coercion, we are seeing an increased effort from China to displace our nation as the world’s leading power.” – Senator Rubio

U.S. Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) introduced companion legislation in the House.

This bill would:

  • Mandate the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the Secretary of State, to produce a public report detailing the wealth and corruption of Party members within 90 days, including General Secretary Xi; and
  • Within 180 days, mandate a hearing with the Director of National Intelligence, or a designee, before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on the report’s findings.
