Chairman Rubio’s Statement on the Nomination of the U.S. Treasurer Jovita Carranza as SBA Administrator
Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, issued a statement on the nomination of U.S. Treasurer and Adviser to Treasury Secretary Mnuchin, Jovita Carranza, to be Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Ms.Carranza was formerly the SBA Deputy Administrator from 2006 to 2009.
“I look forward to a robust, thorough confirmation process of Ms. Carranza as the committee fulfills its responsibilities as part of the Senate’s constitutionally mandated role of advice and consent,” Rubio said. “In addition to reviewing Ms. Carranza’s record and her views on the role of SBA, I welcome this opportunity to learn how we can work together to empower small business ingenuity and foster American competitiveness.”
