Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today released the following statement after the election of Andrés Manuel López Obrador as President of Mexico.

 “I congratulate the people of Mexico on democratically electing a new leader. While I have serious philosophical  differences with the newly elected President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Mexico is an important partner of the United States. We should work to continue to strengthen the rule of law and democratic governance for a stable and secure hemisphere.”
 

RUBIO COMENTA SOBRE LA ELECCIÓN PRESIDENCIAL DE MÉXICO

Washington, DC – El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió el siguiente comunicado tras la elección de Andrés Manuel López Obrador como Presidente de México.

“Felicito al pueblo de México por elegir democráticamente a un nuevo líder. Si bien tengo serias diferencias filosóficas con el recién electo presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, México es un importante aliado de los Estados Unidos. Debemos trabajar en el fortalecimiento del estado de derecho y de gobernabilidad democrática para un hemisferio estable y seguro”.
