Washington, D.C.- U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement commemorating the victims of the Tugboat “13 de marzo” massacre:
“On this day, 24 years ago, the Castro brothers committed one of the most heinous crimes that resulted in the death of 41 Cubans, including children, desperately fleeing the Cuban dictatorship in search of a better life. Their senseless death will never be forgotten. I join the families of the victims and the Cuban-American exile community as we mourn their loss.”
In May 22, 2018 Senator Rubio and Congressman Diaz-Balart urged for the Department of Justice to consider indicting Raúl Castro for the murder of American citizens.

Washington, D.C.- El Senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió la siguiente declaración conmemorando a las víctimas de la masacre del Remolcador “13 de marzo”:
“En este día, hace 24 años, los hermanos Castro cometieron uno de los crímenes más atroces que resultó en la muerte de 41 cubanos, incluidos niños, huyendo desesperadamente de la dictadura cubana en busca de una mejor vida. Su injustificable muerte nunca será olvidada. Me uno a las familias de las víctimas y a la comunidad cubanoamericana en el exilio mientras lamentamos su pérdida”.
El 22 de mayo del 2018, el senador Rubio y el congresista Díaz-Balart pidieron al Departamento de Justicia que consideraran la acusación de Raúl Castro por el asesinato de ciudadanos estadounidenses.
