This morning, Senator Rubio met with Reina Luisa Tamayo, the mother of a man who died during a hunger strike in Cuba. Reina spoke to Senator Rubio about the brutal reality of the life of a dissident in Cuba and the lack of freedom enjoyed by the people in that country. Reina’s son, Orlando, was subjected to gruesome cruelty that resulted in his death in a jail in Holguin, Cuba.
