Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released a statement announcing his opposition to President Joe Biden’s nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to be an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
 
“Judge Jackson’s story is inspiring, but we have serious disagreements on the Constitution and the proper role of the Supreme Court,” Rubio said. “I do not support nominees who believe the job of the Supreme Court is to make policy rather than apply the Constitution as written.”

Washington, D.C. — El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió un comunicado anunciando su oposición a la nominación de la jueza Ketanji Brown Jackson, la nominada del Presidente Joe Biden, a la Corte Suprema de Justicia de EE.UU.
 
“La historia de la jueza Jackson es inspiradora, pero tenemos serios desacuerdos sobre la Constitución y el rol adecuado de la Corte Suprema”, Rubio dijo. “No puedo apoyar a ningún nominado que crea que es apropiado que los jueces elaboren nuevas políticas y creen derechos en vez de interpretar y defender la Constitución tal y como está escrita”.
