Fort Myers, FL — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) spoke at the Naples Chamber of Commerce and visited the historic Edison Ford Winter Estate in Fort Myers to discuss the successful efforts of the forgivable Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans in assisting the landmark during the pandemic. He also met with members of the Lee County GOP and sat down with NBC 2.

Rubio, the former Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, was author of the historic Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which provided small businesses with forgivable loans to keep their doors open and employees paid amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In Florida alone, more than 430,000 small businesses received forgivable PPP loans, saving more than 3 million jobs.
