Rubio Meets with Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce

Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) met with the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce to discuss the important ongoing work surrounding Jacksonville’s Innovation Corridor Projects. During the meeting, the chamber thanked Senator Rubio for his support in helping secure $25 million in Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant funding from the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) for these two projects.

“It was great to meet with the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce this morning. The work the City of Jacksonville is doing to spur innovation and foster economic growth is a testament to Florida’s continued commitment to being the best state in the country for American families and businesses,” Rubio said. “As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I am proud to have helped the City of Jacksonville secure $25 million in BUILD grant funding from the United States Department of Transportation. I look forward to seeing these innovative infrastructure projects move forward to enhance the city’s transportation connectivity.”
