Rubio Applauds Senate Confirmation of Barbara Lagoa to Serve on Eleventh Circuit
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement regarding the confirmation of Florida Supreme Court Justice Barbara Lagoa to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit:
“I thank Justice Lagoa for her years of service in both the federal and Florida state justice systems, including as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Florida,” Rubio said. “I am confident Justice Lagoa’s experience will serve her well as she begins the next chapter of her service to our nation as a U.S. Circuit Judge for the Eleventh Circuit.”
The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit handles federal cases in the states of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
