Rubio Staff Hosts Workshop on “Being Scam Smart”

Mar 29, 2012 | Blog

On Wednesday, Senator Rubio’s staff held the first in a series of workshops they have planned throughout the state on how Floridians can protect themselves from financial fraud and identity theft. This first event was at The Volen Center in Palm Beach County where 80 constituents came to seek assistance.

This workshop featured a representative from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) who distributed information on resources available for victims of financial fraud and identity theft and information about how to prevent yourself from becoming a victim.

If you were unable to attend the event, but would like to learn more about how to protect yourself, you can call Senator Rubio’s Office at (866) 630-7106.
