Bilingual Videos: Rubio on Biden Failure to Meet Everglades Funding Request
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released video messages both in English and Spanish on President Joe Biden’s failure to meet the bipartisan $725 million funding request made by Rubio and every U.S. Representative from Florida. In March, Rubio and his colleagues urged the President to include $725 million for Everglades restoration efforts in his forthcoming budget to Congress. That amount would build off the successful effort to secure $250 million in federal funds for FY 2021 South Florida Ecosystem Restoration (SFER). The Florida delegation’s FY 2022 request matches the amount advocated for by the Everglades Foundation and other key stakeholders.
