The United States stands with Taiwan, our ally and a fellow democracy. Congress must do more to counter China’s influence in the Western Hemisphere.”

San José, Costa Rica – El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió el siguiente comunicado sobre la decisión de la Republica Dominicana en cortar las relaciones diplomáticas con Taiwán en favor de la China:
“Estoy decepcionado de que la República Dominicana se haya convertido en el último país de Latino América en ceder a la presión del gobierno chino y haya cortado sus lazos con Taiwán. Los Estados Unidos respalda a Taiwán, un aliado nuestro y compañero de la democracia. El Congreso de los Estados Unidos debe hacer más para contrarrestar la influencia de China en el Hemisferio Occidental.”
