Jacksonville, FL—U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today joined Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, Congressman John Rutherford (R-FL) and State Senator Aaron Bean (R-FL) to meet with Magellan Transport Logistics to tour its facility and discuss how the new tax law has helped expand the company.

“Florida’s businesses and families are already seeing the benefits of the Republican-passed tax reform,” said Rubio. “Magellan’s decision to open another facility and to hire an additional 100 employees are important examples of this success. I enjoyed touring their new facility and meeting with Magellan’s employees to discuss how the new law is impacting their business decisions. I am committed to working in Congress to ensure more job-creating policies are passed to help Florida businesses and families.”

Following the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Magellan Transport Logistics announced plans to significantly expand its Florida operations through the acquisition of a 47,000 square foot facility to create a new logistics control tower. The company also plans to hire an additional 100 logistics employees over the next five years as it continues to execute on its aggressive growth plans.
