MEDIA ADVISORY: Rubio To Chair Hearing On State Department’s Western Hemisphere Budget Request
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights and Global Women’s Issues, will be holding a budget authorization hearing tomorrow, May 5 to review the budget requests of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, and the Office of Global Women’s Issues.
The hearing, entitled “Review of Resources, Priorities and Programs in the FY2016 State Department Budget Request,” will feature testimony from Obama Administration officials.
