Miami, FL — The office of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement after a private meeting between Venezuelan Interim President Juan Guaidó, Senator Rubio, Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (R-FL), and Venezuelan Ambassador to the U.S. Carlos Vecchio in the city of Miami:
“Senator Rubio met with the Interim President Juan Guaidó in Miami to discuss the on-going efforts to restore democracy and the rule of law in Venezuela. As Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Rubio is committed to highlighting the Maduro regime’s egregious violations of human rights against its citizens and the importance of continued international support for the democratically elected National Assembly and Interim President Juan Guaidó.”

Miami, FL — La oficina del senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió el siguiente comunicado tras una reunión en privado entre el presidente interino de Venezuela Juan Guaidó el senador Rubio, el congresista Mario Díaz-Balart (R-FL) y el embajador de Venezuela ante los Estados Unidos Carlos Vecchio en la ciudad de Miami:
“El senador Rubio se reunió con el presidente interino Juan Guaidó esta noche en Miami para discutir los esfuerzos en curso para restauración de la democracia en Venezuela. Como presidente del Subcomité de Relaciones Exteriores del Senado para el Hemisferio Occidental, Rubio está comprometido en seguir resaltando las atroces violaciones a los derechos humanos por parte del régimen de Maduro contra sus ciudadanos y la importancia del continuo apoyo a la Asamblea Nacional democráticamente electa y al presidente interino Juan Guaidó”.
