ICYMI: Rubio Joins Hannity
Miami, FL — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) joined Hannity to discuss President Joe Biden’s agenda and misplaced priorities. See below for highlights.
On Biden’s vaccine efforts and impeachment:
“I’ll give [President Joe Biden] the benefit of the doubt and just say that I hope we can get all those vaccines to people. We’re in a race against this new strain, and that’s what we should be focused on. But next week it looks like we’re going to be spending 6, 7, 8, 9 days glued to our chairs in the Senate doing nothing but a stupid impeachment trial — a ridiculous exercise to impeach someone who isn’t even in office anymore, which has no precedent. That’s what [Democrats] are focused on.”
On the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Florida:
“[Florida] empowered counties and hospitals and prioritized giving to it first to those who are over 65 and high risk — the population that you know has a high probability of winding up in the hospital, obviously taking up those resources and having terrible outcomes. … Really the [vaccine] should be the priority, and I thought that’s what Biden would be focused on from day one.”
On Biden’s misplaced priorities and executive orders:
“One of the first executive orders could be read and interpreted to mean dangerous criminals would not be a priority for deportation if they were released by January 19. It just shows you the priorities are wrong. Biden has taken office, and his number one priority during the first two weeks is a check list of far left asks. It’s not COVID, the economy, foreign threats from China on other places — the number one priority, so far, appears to be going down the checklist of the far left of the party.”
