Sen. Rubio: The President Has His Eye On 2012, Not The Debt
Anchor: “But the President won’t even show up. He’s sending Joe Biden in to negotiate, and it’s really a layover on his way to Moscow.”
Sen. Rubio: “Well, as I said at the outset of the show, you can’t solve generational issues, and that’s what this debt is, unless the President of the United States is willing to engage on it, and he has to engage on it. I can tell you, as a Senator he talked about these issues, as a candidate he said he would talk about these issues, but as President, I think he’s got his eye on 2012 more than he does on the debt. And what I fear is that the President and too many other people in Washington are more interested in winning their next election, even if it means losing the essence of our country.”
Sen. Rubio: Democrats Are Refusing To Address The Budget
Sen. Rubio: “And by the way, we need to remind ourselves of why we are here. We are at this point at our history in this debate because the Democrats that controlled Congress just a year ago, both houses and the White House, didn’t even pass a budget. The United States is a multi-trillion dollar endeavor, or the government is, and they don’t have a budget. Everybody listening to this show has a budget. The show itself has a budget. You have a budget. I have a budget. Everything and everyone I know has a budget, but the United States government, the single largest spending entity in the world, does not have a budget?
