MEDIA ADVISORY: Rubio To Deliver Floor Speech On Crisis In Venezuela At 12:50 P.M.
Washington, D.C. – At approximately 12:50 p.m. EDT today, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) will deliver a Senate floor speech regarding the ongoing human rights crisis plaguing Venezuela as a result of President Nicolás Maduro’s repressive regime. In a wide-ranging speech, Rubio will call on Congress to move on bipartisan legislation that would impose targeted sanctions and provide support to Venezuela’s besieged democratic movement.
Please note: Rubio will be the first Republican to speak after the Senate takes three votes at noon.
