Rosh Hashanah

Sep 16, 2012 | Blog

This evening marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, a celebration of the Jewish New Year. As Jewish Americans and our Jewish friends around the world prepare to honor their sacred holiday, let us remember to wish them a happy and healthy new year.

Let us also take this opportunity to reflect upon the many great American values and traditions that find their roots in our nation’s Judeo-Christian heritage. As is written in the scriptures, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure,’” (Psalms 122:6). L’shanah tovah u’metukah.
