Rubio Statement on Release of Josh Holt from El Helicoide

Miami, FL– U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released the following statement after American hostage Josh Holt was released from prison in Venezuela:

“I am very happy for Josh Holt, his wife and their family. He was an innocent hostage being held by the Maduro regime. As the administration made clear this evening, their release will in no way change U.S. policy towards the dictatorship in Venezuela. Until Maduro allows free and fair elections, he will continue facing punishing sanctions.”

RUBIO COMENTA SOBRE LA LIBERACIÓN DE JOSH HOLT DEL HELICOIDE

“Estoy muy feliz por Josh Holt, por su esposa y por su familia. El era un rehén inocente retenido por el régimen de Maduro. La administration ha dicho bien claro esta noche que no se llevaran a cabo cambios en la política de los Estados Unidos hacia la dictadura de Venezuela. Hasta que Maduro permita la celebración de elecciones libres y justas, el seguirá recibiendo sanciones punitivas”.
