“Hi this is U.S. Senator Marco Rubio. I come to you on this Father’s Day to honor fathers. It’s probably the most important job I have – not probably, it is the most important job I have. Now what we do here in the U.S. Senate is important for our country, but the role I play as father is perhaps the most important role I’ll ever have. I know that’s been true in my life. My father did a great job with our family, but probably the most important thing he did for us is lead by example – the example of working hard, of sacrificing, and of always putting his children first. What he wanted more than anything else out of life is for us to have the chance to do all of the things he never had the chance to do. And I know that’s true for millions of fathers across our country. So today let’s pause and thank fathers for the wonderful and important work they do for children and families all across our great nation and quite frankly all around the world. So to all of my fellow fathers out there, Happy Father’s Day. Enjoy it. May God bless you, and may God always bless the United States of America.”
