ICYMI: Rubio Stands With Israel, France At South Florida Rally

Nov 16, 2015 | Press Releases

Washington, D.C. – On Sunday, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) delivered remarks at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s pro-Israel rally, “Never Again: A Community Rally in Response to the Rise in Worldwide Anti-Semitism and the Campaign Against Israel’s Right to Exist.”

The Associated Press reports that Rubio spoke in Miami Beach during a large rally in support of Israel and against anti-Semitism. “He [said] the threat to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv is the same as the threat to Paris, London and U.S. cities. And Rubio warn[ed] against ‘casting out one of our own’— meaning Israel — in hopes of appeasing jihadis.”

According to NBC 6 South Florida, Rubio called on America to be vigilant and aggressively defeat radical Islamists. While the rally was planned before the terrorist attacks in Paris took place, everyone stood together to honor the victims of the attacks. “We were reminded this week that evil is alive and well in the world, just this Friday,” Rubio said. “And we are reminded that we are still called to be vigilant and to defeat it in every form that it takes. It changes names, it changes locations, but it is evil nonetheless.”

As Miami’s ABC Local 10 News reported, “Rubio went on to say that the world should stand up against hatred to prevent such attacks in places like Tel Aviv, New York City, and Miami.” Local 10 also did a live look during Rubio’s speech as he commented on the European Union’s decision to label Israeli products.

Rubio also spoke with Univision 23 and said we need to lead our allies in fighting these terrorists that threaten our countries.
