Rubio Praises Confirmation of Florida U.S. Attorneys
The U.S. Senate confirmed Markenzy Lapointe to be U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida and Roger Handberg to be U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) signaled his support for Lapointe in February 2021 and commended President Joe Biden’s nomination of the two in September. Both Lapointe and Handberg were recommended by Rubio’s bipartisan judicial advisory commission. The positions are for a four year term.
