Rubio Comments On Florida State University Campus Shooting
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement regarding an on-campus shooting at Florida State University early this morning:
“I was saddened to learn that the silence of Florida State’s Strozier Library was broken this morning by a senseless shooting. My thoughts and prayers are with the three injured students, their families and the entire Florida State University community. I pray the victims have a full and speedy recovery. Our entire state stands in solidarity with FSU, and we are all Seminoles today.
“Today, as always, we owe a debt of gratitude to the courageous police officers who ran toward the sound of gun shots and stepped in to the line of fire to stop the perpetrator of this act and protect students from additional harm. ”
