Rubio Introduces Bill to Protect Symbolism and Patriotism of American Flag at Diplomatic Posts

Mar 21, 2024 | Press Releases

The radical left’s woke agenda has been relentless in pushing their destructive ideology. Under the Biden Administration, socially progressive and divisive flags have become the focal point of diplomatic messaging.

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) introduced legislation to ensure the American flag remains the primary symbol of our nation at diplomatic posts. This bill would require anything flown, draped, projected, or displayed at a U.S. diplomatic mission, official residence, office, or U.S. vehicle that is not the U.S. flag must be smaller than the official U.S. flag and, if flown, cannot be displayed above the U.S. flag.

  • “This bill seeks to reinforce the importance of our flag, which is more than just a national emblem. Our flag is a testament to the God-given freedoms endowed to every American citizen and we cannot let woke ideology take that sense of national pride from us. Whether it’s at a U.S. diplomatic mission, our Ambassador’s residence, or an official U.S. vehicle, no flag should be flown higher than the Star-Spangled Banner.” – Senator Rubio
