Rubio Joins Speaker Ryan to Survey Irma Damage, Staff Helps Floridians in Naples
U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) joined House Speaker Paul Ryan today on a tour of Jacksonville, Miami and the Florida Keys to survey the impacts of Hurricane Irma. After receiving a briefing on recovery efforts at the Duval County Emergency Operations Center in Jacksonville, Rubio and Speaker Ryan boarded a flight to Coast Guard Air Station Miami in Opa Locka, where they received an operational briefing from Rear Admiral Peter Brown, Coast Guard District Seven Commander.
Meanwhile, Rubio’s staff hosted a recovery assistance center in Naples, helping more than 3,000 Floridians obtain hurricane recovery assistance. Staff will host a recovery assistance center in Fort Myers tomorrow and Immokalee on Friday.
