Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, named AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage of Tallahassee, FL as the U.S. Senate Small Business of the Week.

Rubio released the following video message to congratulate AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage as the Senate Small Business of the Week. A broadcast quality version can be found here.

“Hello, I’m Senator Marco Rubio, I’m the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business.

“Today, I’m honoring AMWAT Moving, Warehousing, and Storage of Tallahassee, Florida as the Senate Small Business of the Week.

“In 1997, AMWAT was founded when two college sweethearts began helping their friends move .

“Well twenty-three years later, this small business has grown to provide moving services, warehousing and storage primarily for clients in the Tallahassee area.

“Their professionalism, excellence, and community involvement has earned them multiple local and industry awards.

“Like so many of Florida’s small businesses, they stepped up to support its community during the coronavirus pandemic.

“They ensured that their employees, and their families, were financially stable and had access to helpful Tallahassee-area resources.

“Additionally, they donated funds to Second Harvest of Big Bend and Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

“Recently, AMWAT was approved for a Paycheck Protection Program loan.

“And they were able to keep their twenty-six employees paid and adapted their business to follow all the necessary public health procedures.

“So congratulations to the entire team at AMWAT on being named the Senate Small Business of the Week!

“I look forward to your continued success and service to our state and communities.”
