During the tour, NAS Jax Public Works Officer Cmdr. Rubio also met with NAS Jax and tenant command Sailors during lunch at the Flight Line Café where he thanked them for their service as he learned more about how military families deal with deployments, some of the different career paths the Navy offers and physical fitness requirements.
“Anytime we have the chance to interact with our men and women in uniform, it’s always enlightening and it reminds us of the great sacrifices they are making,” said Rubio.
“We also came to see this facility which is so important, not only to Florida, but to the critical role of our national defense.”
