Today: Rubio, Risch, Menendez, Kaine, and Scott Meet Venezuela’s First Lady Fabiana Rosales de Guaidó
Washington, D.C. – Today, at approximately 4:15 p.m., U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), Jim Risch (R-ID), Bob Menendez (D-NJ), Tim Kaine (D-VA), and Rick Scott (R-FL) will meet with Venezuela’s First Lady Fabiana Rosales de Guaidó, wife of President Juan Guaidó. The First Lady will be joined by Romy Moreno de Marrero and Belén Romero, wife and sister respectively of illegally detained Chief of Staff, Roberto Marrero.
Members of the Venezuelan Interim Government’s leadership will be accompanying the First Lady and Marrero’s relatives, including Venezuelan Ambassador to the United States Carlos Vecchio, Coordinator of the OAS Working Group David Smolansky, the Coordinator of Humanitarian Aid Lester Toledo, and others.
