English/Español: Rubio Comments on Trump Administration’s Unprecedented FEMA Infrastructure Grants for Puerto Rico
Miami, FL — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement after the Trump Administration announced that the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) was awarding grants in order to help Puerto Ricans continue to recover following the destruction of Hurricane Maria in 2017:
“As our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico continue their long road to recovery following the destructive path of Hurricane Maria, I welcome the Trump Administration’s announcement of much needed funding for the island’s electrical grid and education system. Having seen firsthand the destruction left by this category 5 hurricane, these funds will help to improve the lives of all Puerto Ricans.”

RUBIO SOBRE LOS SUBSIDIOS DE FEMA PARA LA INFRAESTRUCTURA EN PUERTO RICO POR PARTE DE LA ADMINISTRACIÓN TRUMP
Miami, FL — El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió el siguiente comunicado después que la administración del Presidente Trump anunció unos subsidios para la Administración Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (FEMA, por sus siglas en inglés) para ayudar a los puertorriqueños a seguir recuperándose tras la destrucción del huracán María en el 2017:
“A medida que nuestros connacionales en Puerto Rubio continúan su camino hacia la recuperación tras el destructivo paso del huracán María, aplaudo el anuncio de la administración del Presidente Trump de otorgar fondos necesarios para la red eléctrica y el sistema educativo de la isla. Habiendo visto de primera mano la destrucción que dejó este huracán de categoría 5, estos fondos ayudarán a mejorar la vida de todos los puertorriqueños”.
